The venerable Toyota Highlander has always been a strong nameplate in Toyota's SUV lineup. The three-row SUV was last updated in 2019 and the company made a gamble by giving all trims a hybrid infused engine. While a recent wave of teasers turned out to be an all-electric version of the Highlander SUV, a new report suggests the fate of the project itself could depend on upcoming actions from President Trump.

Jaguar made waves when it did a shocking reboot of its identity and its mission with the British luxury brand sacrificing nearly all of its lineup (the creaky F-Pace just recently ended production) for an all-in gamble on EVs. Ill timing and an equally bad reception from dealerships and the public (despite Jag's best efforts at making lemonade out of the situation) made it clear that the company's reboot didn't go as planned.

The Toyota MR2 was an interesting sports car for Toyota during its time in production. While the MR2 that went out of production in the early 2000s seemingly lost the plot, the model really got its claim to fame in the 1980s with he two-seater first being powered by a supercharger and later a turbocharger as it evolved to keep up with the tastes of young buyers at the time.

When it comes to E-bikes, views on these vehicles will depend on who you ask. While some will say that e-Bikes have benefits for older riders and also provide a unique riding experience, others say they are dangerous with some of them approaching the same speeds that mopeds and motorcycles can reach. New Jersey governor Phil Murphy chose to leave office with a bang with the outgoing politician signing beefed-up regulations that take clear aim at e-bikes in an attempt to improve pedestrian safety.

Ford hasn't sold any formal sedans in the U.S. since 2020 when it axed the Ford Fusion from its lineup with dealerships slowly whittling through their remaining inventory either through sales or purchases by rental firms. Hyundai is out to prove that electrification can jive with family vehicle buyers. While the Ioniq 5 CUV and the Ioniq 6 sedan are a pretty potent pair of EVs, they also have limited reach due to their size which can cause large family buyers to pass them up. Hyundai is now addressing this with the 2026 Ioniq 9 which attempts to give buyers more of everything but in a bigger electrified package.

The Ford Mustang Dark Horse represented the proverbial pinnacle of performance with the model only being surpassed in this regard by the Mustang GTD. Ford knew it had to make a true bridge between the standard Dark Horse and the GTD to help unify the two models. The company has formally unveiled the fruits of their labor, the all-new Ford Mustang Dark Horse SC which brings a supercharged transplant into the engine bay.

Ford revealed that it will be expanding the Bronco family by two for 2026 and while we get to wait a bit to see the second one, the company and RTR chose to unveil the first one under the lights of the Detroit Auto Show, the 2027 Bronco RTR. Bronco RTR is a unique breed Vaugh Gitten Jr's RTR has been upgrading Mustangs and Broncos for a long time but this RTR is the first time the company has teamed-up with Ford for a factory-built version of its custom Bronco.

Mary Barra is in a very interesting position. After betting big on EVs being GM's future, the CEO is now faced with the task of navigating the company through a rapidly changing market as it adjusts to softening EV demand, the loss of the $7500 EV tax credit, and tariffs. Despite these challenges, the CEO remains steadfast and made her feelings very clear at a recent sit down chat hosted by the Automotive Press Association at GM's new headquarters in Detroit.
