Interesting @uniworldnews.bsky.social piece on higher education 'reforms' in Georgia - “It’s highly likely that these reforms will be used to target those who express critical opinions about government policies within universities.”

Very pleased to speak at the LSE today on ‘LSE's Legacy of Supporting Scholars at Risk’. Our founder in 1933, William Beveridge, was LSE Director and LSE are strong supporters of our work now too. That support is still much needed 92 years later after a big surge in applications in the last 4 years.

Dramatic and encouraging news from #Syria. For over 10 years we have worked to support exiled Syrian academics through our Programmes cara.ngo/what-we-do/c.... We hope that events will soon allow them to contribute to rebuilding higher education and civil society in that country.
