Monstrously shitty Supreme Court rulings aren't new (Dred Scott v. Sandford). Breathtakingly stupid and corrupt presidencies aren't new, either (Harding/Teapot Dome). No one is saying things are great, but calling this shit unprecedented or unrecoverable is just factually wrong.
