For me Thud, because of the scale of conflict. It shows how futile and malign fear mongering should be recognised as. In this story it is not us against the 'others', because the others are also just people. The way vimes has to confront his own prejudice against Sally. ... Cont

I agree with that. Nightwatch is his magnum opus. It has everything the humanistic side of discworld stands for. As well as great humour and peril at scale.

While Thud is my overall favourite; Nightwatch is the peak. Everything became smaller and tamer after that.
