Hiking up that last rocky bit to the top, I always liked to pretend I was a Billy Goat! Great view from up there, I miss it!

That’s the first (and I think only) Del Taco I’ve ever been to. Most of my family on my mom’s side live in and around Daggett!

I read Murderland while on a trip back home to the PNW which felt fitting. Beautifully written and fascinating how the stories and histories were woven together. Loved it!

Thought I’d been hit on day 3 but it was a cover so I’m still in! (Hope I didn’t jinx myself saying this out loud!)

These are our turkeys after the newest was added a few months ago. Impressed they are this close but hope one day for a full-fledged cuddle puddle!

I was just there a few weeks ago! Here’s Mt. Hood on August 12th, from Timberline Lodge.

I think about this kind of thing ALL the time. Sometimes even when just walking around in the world I’ll stop and think: this is that flashback scene right before everything fell apart, on the brink and we don’t fully realize it.

This was the first song I played via cassette tape in the first car I ever owned, a 1973 Volvo named Pat that I bought for $500. I really did feel safest of all in that car.

When I lived in Madagascar I would sometimes run into these chameleons on my forest walks. I once saw 2 males fighting each other (female in her muted brown skin was perched on a nearby tree) & watched those bright blues & greens turn to alarming oranges & browns as they tussled. Nature is amazing!

Beautiful! My tree was damaged in a wind storm a few years and a freak New Orleans snow storm this year, but has grown back with gusto! However, it has only had about 10 flowers - now about 7 fruits, so far this year. I aspire, on behalf of the tree, to have this bounty in the years to come!

May I share this sweet mama kitty w/1 of the 3 kittens she brought to our backyard! We brought them inside to keep them safe from heat/crazy thunderstorms/critters & they are so cozy. We named her Magnolia after the tree she was living under with her babies and the babies are Cypress, Fig & Lemon!

This is so good on so many levels. Love Michel Gondry’s videos, can’t believe I missed this one (Coco?!?) Protection by Massive Attack is one of my faves. Thanks for sharing!
