This isn't the fault of like 90% of that team, but at some point there has to be better planning at the top or these companies have to be willing to lose money on these big projects AND still keep supporting them post launch (lol not going to happen).

Another example of how poor budgeting/planning is killing these bigger games. Once dev time passed 4-5 years, it became nearly impossible for the game to be a success just due to how much money has been dumped into it.
