It's been a busy weekend! After taking part in the world record on Friday, we were off to help clean the Afon Lwyd in Croesyceiliog on Saturday, then to St Mellons today. Over 50 bags of rubbish, plus the usual trolleys, tyres etc each day.

We did it! We are officially a Guinness World Record holder!
226 volunteers took part in our bit of the #tafftidy attempt the break the world record.
We cleared
162 bags general rubbish
19 bags recycling
6 builders bags hard plastics

On Friday 21 March, CRG will join groups along the River Taff to attempt a @guinnessworldrecords.com for the most participants in a river-clean-up (multiple locations).

4 pick-up loads of tools & sowing machines went to Tools For Self Reliance Cymru, we recycled bicycle tyres for other charities, and kept vapes out of the general waste stream. We helped lots of organisations & businesses dispose of "waste" saving 100s of items from landfill or incineration.

We weighed in 110.5 tonnes of scrap metal including 8353 NoX canisters removed from the streets and parks of Cardiff and Newport.

We coppiced, balsam bashed, dead hedged, cleared paths, removed laurel, cut reeds and pulled out Canadian Pennywort.
