a few months ago, i found a good CRT for dirt cheap. this single event led me from refurbishing my old ps1 and ps2.. to redesigning my old office into a proper private gaming room. with this chance, i went after a legendary ive never seen in its "pure" form as a kid. wasnt cheap but... its fantastic

Eventually you get enough upgrades so you can become a powerhouse, you feel unstoppable, until a glitch monster ends your run. More people should check this game out, it's not a long game, mixing Tamagotchi with a Rougelite is genius. The soundtrack is really good too

This game can be very frustrating specially early on, where I felt stuck on the same dungeon over and over, unable to get past the final floors because I would die in two hits from bad luck. I was about to drop it off, but I knew it was a short game, so I pressed on, I couldnt let the girl die!

I had this game on my backlog for a while, published by Nippon Ichi Software aka the guys behind Disgaea and other stuff, this one's a dungeon crawler, not a genre I'm usually into, but I've always liked the presentation of NiS games, they get that cutesey yet dark anime style perfectly

My friends are huge Star Fox fans and it enticed me to try out the games for the first time, starting on the SNES. I should have NOT chosen level 3 for my first experience because this game is brutal. Minus a few annoying parts, I had a lot of fun! Really ahead of its time, maybe a bit *too* ahead

My friends are huge Star Fox fans and it enticed me to try out the games for the first time, starting on the SNES. I should have NOT chosen level 3 for my first experience because this game is brutal. Minus a few annoying parts, I had a lot of fun! Really ahead of its time, maybe a bit *too* ahead
Notice that the first two tiers are S and SSS instead of A. The worst game here is a C, and the three most often contested "best FF game" all share the same grade.

It t validates my love for gaming that I've had since a kid. Every era, every character that I've at least played with only once, everything unlocks a memory... And it was my niece's gateway game into games. Even my mom loves watching the game.

And last but not least, a greatly deserved game of the year to Astro Bot. This game is just pure joy, the absurd amount of polish, the near perfect controls and physics. The fact that it chose to be a platformer to introduce a whole new generation to gaming, even citing the OG Super Mario...

There's something weirdly charming about Geoff's fascination with the muppets, even if I think a lot of its audience probably doesn't give a shit? I don't even like Keighley that much but I gotta admit this gag is adorable. These two should be mainstays of the awards. "Please wrap it up!"

At long last, Naughty Dog's brand new IP.W hen I saw the CDs and the Sony logo, I thought "hold on, that's an exceeding love for detail on the discs." Only one company is that obsessed with details. Will it be good? Don't know, but it's ND. I've played basicly every major game. TLOU is finally done.

Omg Rebirth got snubbed! Haha, okay, I'd say in most categories the winners were well deserved. I have a friend who can attest for Metaphor as the best RPG of the year, and I believe them. Still won best OST tho, absolutely deserved. Fantastic rearrangements, phases, new pieces, it's outstanding.

A new game from the Team Ico dev team? Holy shit! They came back! When I was a kid I didn't get these games, but as an adult I've fallen in love with their atmosphere and sense of oppressive scale. This will be fantastic.

Starting with the first HOLY SHIT moment for me oh my god I was NOT expecting Clive BUT HE LOOKS SO C-, I MEAN HOT, HOT. Tekken is my go to casual couch fighting game, and I think I'm one of the only five people that actually liked FF16 a lot. Clive was great, and will definitely get this one day 1

My mom took me to see Rugrats in Paris as my first ever movie at the cinema. I obviously loved it because it was basically just like the cartoon, but more emotional. I think it was the perfect movie for me to watch at that age, I was only four or five. Thank you mom
