I'm trying not to be too hard on myself because I only got like. 4 hours of sleep in total but I know that’s mainly my fault because I didn't do a proper wind down in that I read something that ended up making me anxious/bothered that my brain was like "ok time to only think about music videos!"-

Which is really freaking annoying because you'd think finally getting a break would make you more relaxed, but it’s only made me more restless 😭

I'm working through it though by trying to adapt to a new routine where I'm more active because that's what encourages your sleep drive

The likely reason (according to my therapist) that I'm having sleeping problems again is because my schedule has become a lot less active now that con season is over, so my brain is more likely to wander into negative thoughts because our minds are hardwired to constantly look for danger

I think the problem is that dealing with this sort of thing can feel kind of isolating and I was able to bounce back last time because I had someone (my therapist) to validate my thoughts and progress. Trying to tackle this without help is like trying to throw something at a wall and see what sticks
