Is it possible Trump will scapegoat someone in his Administration for lying to him? And, if he does react so desperately, and it fails to help him, which it would, might Republicans in Congress start the process of ousting Trump? I’d watch for Vance to start moderating.

In 2022 we gave the IRS $80 bn. When Rs took the House they made rescinding that $$ the price of funding the govt. In each funding bill enacted since, large chunks of that were pared back
Ds should do that for the ICE money from OBBBA. Paring back that $$ must be a prerequisite for funding the govt

I think Rubio is perfectly positioned to resign & tell us how he & the other so-called adults knew all along how wrong it was to enable Trump to hold power but they were afraid to do otherwise & Rubio should name names

[I know the Cabinet’s role.] An Oct surprise would be optimal timing. The election wouldn’t be a referendum on Trump. “Give Vance a chance” might curb GOP losses

Probably, but those who believe that aren’t the ones keeping Congressional Republicans from turning on Trump. At this point, I can’t fathom who or what is holding them back.

Obama’s success clearly haunted Trump, and Obama’s roasting him at the WHCD added fuel to the fire. Trump tried hard to help Romney in 2012. I could even believe Bill and Hillary helped Trump to decide to run in 2015 by pointing out their mutual dislike of Obama. Trump’s success surprised them all.

With the existential threat to the Republic, Democratic voters are finally positioned to unite on progressivism. The days of letting Big Money scare us into settling for the lesser of two evils are over. Who knows why Big Money overreached and confessed to never believing in Democracy, but they did.
