Rather than, repeatedly, saying they "understand" the concerns of far right agitators, and using the same rhetoric against migrants in general, this government needs to be calling them out and supporting charities before more people get hurt.

Our friend, a human rights activist, had to flee her country after being tortured and imprisoned.

Upon arriving in the UK, she was sent to prison for an immigration offence, instead of being offered safety.

She isn’t eligible for legal aid, so every little helps.
