The story has changed again today. Now the bus driver left the scene because the kids on the bus were distraught, saying he would file a police report which he apparently did. I’ve already lost interest, which is probably the intended outcome.

It’s possible. Apparently local police said they’ve had no reports of this accident. There was a minor bump between a car and bus around that time but, according to the PD, it wasn’t even reported. Ao the plot thickens.
