Activism and healing work are deeply connected. We need trauma-informed tools in our movements in order for people to be able to stay in the work.

Stress and trauma push people into black-and-white thinking—either you’re a movement leader or you’re nobody. This keeps people from seeing the power they already have.

We don’t need one person to fix this. We need many people stepping into their own capacity to act, however small those actions may seem.

If you feel frozen or hopeless, tend to your body first. Find steadiness so that you can respond with clarity, not collapse.
