I've thought that too, but more around electronics. Kids today expect to have cellphones, tablets, and tvs in their bedrooms. We grew up with 1 tv (living room) and one phone (kitchen). A spoiled kid might have a princess phone, but not their own phoneline. Or tv.

He blocked me for some other very mild disagreement. He not only blocked me, but told me I was such a rotten person that everyone should block me. Way out of proportion to what I'd actually said! 🙄

When I lived in PA, I had a friend to went to a Pat Toomey rally just after the 2008 election and explained to me that "We just want to take our country back." I refrained from asking her "back from whom" or "who is "'we'." The thought was always that Obama's election threatened "us".
