You’ll see this same ticket, that was a Super Off-Peak Single, has changed into an Advanced Single. (Second pic at the bottom). A ticket not valid for every time. Would be easy to get fined if on a diff train.

Also, you’ve just got to love the quote from LNER …

Here you can see that for that journey, I’ve selected Super Off-Peak Single on the National Rail website …

This means I can get any train on the Sunday and any route, providing it’s in the off-peak time.

Yes absolutely, thank you. I’d have never considered myself eligible for a Covid jab, only they texted me. Must be a headache for the NHS all this!

I have a Covid jab booked for tomorrow but have just got a text saying I might now not be eligible due to a change in guidelines. Anyone else have this?

My dad had his last week. I have asthma - will find out tomorrow!

So the latest train news is that LNER are apparently doing a “trial” for 2 years where they’re not doing returns.

So my tickets were as follows:

Off peak single from London to Leeds: £73.40

Off peak single from Leeds to London: £73.40

Total: £146.80

I can confirm once again that it would probably be easier to have a conversation with a sheep in Latin than buy the correct train ticket for a journey in the UK. 🐑

This is the problem with train ticketing nowadays. We're trying to bury the complexity on the websites instead of fundamental reform of ticketing.
