Honestly fifty pages into it, with the pilgrims riding on a giant tree through space I really thought this was going off the rails, but ultimately glad I read it. I can see how it wouldn't be for everyone.

I would highly recommend "Hyperion" by Dan Simmons. It is a masterpiece. I enjoyed Weir's "Project Hail Mary" despite not really enjoying the writing itself, as the story was heartwarming/full of charm.

I saw Bonnie 'Prince' Billy there last week. I decided to catch my breath when the show started winding down so moved to the back. About that time he introduced Jake Xerxes Fussell for the last two tunes... which I could barely hear for all of the talking.

It's good they recorded this close to the stage. If you're in the back, the chatter from the taqueria will drown out the sound system.

I am approximately 300 pages into "Red Mars" and I am loving it.

I watched a documentary years ago pertaining to this very subject. It was heartbreaking to see so many who pass on and no one seems to notice or care.

I bought this bad boy at a Church yard sale. Religious institutions and nude women covered in whipped cream - what a combo!

Dale Murphy in a Phillies uniform still makes me gag.

I feel that way about the latest Liam Kazar.

More folks need to include John Anderson on their albums.

Bought tickets to see them play The Pilot Light in Knoxville. 11:45 rolled around and the venue kept saying they were on their way. It was past midnight before I threw in the towel and went home. I still wish I had gotten to see them.

I saw the television series from around 2020. I believe Bowie did a full length film back in the 70s. I like some of those old Robert Henlein books from the 50s.

It goes off the rails a couple of times, but there is a revelation towards the end that pulls it all together. Enjoy!

Wonderful soundtrack to boot!

Might I suggest the latest Liam Kazar album?

"Not in Nottingham" is a GREAT song.

That Santa Cruz 7/21/07 "Goodnight Rose" had a killer extended jam - absolutely transcendent.

I am sitting on a couch in Northeast Tennessee, watching Mavs/Pelicans, listening to Damien Jurado on the headphones while scrolling BlueSky. In other words, I am living the dream.
