It strikes me as a very paranoid and defensive response to really straightforward questions by some truly bizarre fruit. Still, it takes all sorts to make a world, including the dogmatically hard of thinking.

It seems that merely asking a simple question, to which nobody has even attempted a sensible reply, has elicited the ire of "proud" socialists and the Scottish greens, the latter to whom it has nothing to do with. I really don't understand why the question was so distressing.

It's a matter of legal fact. The Palestinian flag isn't a protected characteristic under the equalities Act. That's not debatable, it just isn't.
It's absolutely nothing to do with free speech or state repression, but a matter on equality law in England and Wales.

Here's the post to which you refer. For context, it was a legal discussion about the rights of private citizens to choose who came onto their property. It certainly, in any sensible reading, isn't defending state repression.

For the record, I've not searched anyone and anything in my timeline to which I responded to, such as this, is algorithm driven. Still, it was good sloothing, even if it was wrong.
