They are right that it's a distraction from the more immediate problem. Clinton needs to be held accountable, but he isn't the president who is dividing and destroying the country right now.

You aren't going to see much from the outside that makes the news. The U.S. is very large (land-wise) and it's difficult to organize and coordinate larger events that have an impact. But there ARE people doing much on a smaller scale and there is a LOT of litigation that has been successful.

At least half (probably more) of the country is opposed to this nonsense..... Do they really think they can get rid of 150 million (or more) people and it'll just.. work out for them? How anyone can support this blatant disregard for the constitution is beyond me.

A lot of people are. But it's difficult to have a coordinated effort on short notice, partially because of how large (land-wise) our country is. We've had a number of massive protests, but the news skews the numbers so they look smaller than they are.

I wasn't calling them victims. Literally all I'm saying is that making assumptions about family members of people you don't personally know isn't a good thing. You can never know what someone else's home life is like unless you're personally connected.

Because they sometimes aren't. It's not black and white. Sometimes, a family had no idea because it's hidden from them. Sometimes, families are abused or coerced into going along with it. And yes, sometimes they do support it. You cannot assume when you don't know the circumstances.

We dont have to give up Christmas. Just shop at local chains and small businesses. Go to craft shows and buy handmade things. Then you're supporting your community.

That sounds more like a problem with understanding the mans mental health needs. Can you prove the previous judges who let him go were politically motivated? Mental health cases can't be treated the same way. This was a tragedy but hardly a political scandal on the scale of everything else going on.

Dude, that incident was done by a mentally ill guy that had nothing to do with political stuff. He was caught. What is your point?

I wish I could have gone! Unfortunately a broken toe has stopped me. But I'm cheering everyone on and hoping for everyone's safety. The turnouts so far are super encouraging!

Most of us don't have to register every year. But lots of citizens never bother to register at all and don't vote unfortunately.

Okay, I will admit I did not see that update. But from what I read, it hasn't been confirmed to have anything to do with the shooting. There are people trying really hard to demonize the trans community though so it's a worrying development since the partner had nothing to do with it.

The evidence shows that the shooter was interested in a right-wing extremist group and came from a republican family, but he didn't vote. So maybe not maga but cut from the same cloth.
