Congratulations to Coach Mike Wilbanks and the Shelby Golden Lions on their outstanding 84-41 win over Kinston to secure the 2025 #NCHSAAFB 3A State Championship. The Golden Lions were paced by QB Lan Farmer who threw for eight (!) touchdown passes while running for two more.

Congratulations to Coach Darryl Brown and the Grimsley Whirlies for taking down Clayton, 24-14, to claim the 7A #NCHSAAFB state championship. The Whirlies finished the season 15-0 for their second straight title and third in six years.
