but here’s a slo mo vid from the Congress Ave Bridge in Austin! we went to see the bats exit and it was actually the coolest thing ever !! in peak summer, there’s 1.5 mil bats roosting under the bridge😱

most bats are awk on the ground, but the common vampire bat has evolved to walk easily on the ground, and even run! they do this to avoid getting stepped on/move quickly between feeds. they have super strong forelimbs and weaker legs, so they hit arm day everyday lol💪
