Re the current French political turmoil, this is from my book on #Satie: 'The Third Republic (1870–1940) was a politically unstable period of French history with constantly shifting coalitions and no fewer than 87 prime ministers, some of whom were in office for only a few weeks.

#Milhaud De profundis for organ and 2 voices was always going to be a sight-reading challenge at the piano - the worst bit by far is the mezzo being BELOW the baritone in the score 🙃
