Save him for mop up duty and hope he get's his sh*t together in the off season. He *was* good and he *still* throws very hard so there's a decent chance whatever is wrong with him can be fixed.... but probably not this season.

I think it shows how bad Breslow is at making a quick deal. Give him all winter and he might give you Crochet, but ask him to make a trade at the deadline and there's a lot of head shaking and disappointment. He doesn't have the kahunas of say, Dombrowski.

Two prospects from their top 20, including 1 from the top 10 for a starter with nearly a 5 ERA and a decent veteran lefty... I don't see this as better than nothing. Murphy deserved the spot more.

All I can say is that I'll never forget seeing an interview where someone mentioned to Devers about moving off of 3B and the look in his eye and his reaction spoke volumes. Maybe not more than "whispers" but there are issues there, and perhaps not healthy ones for the team or himself.

It's all a mess, but if they don't even have to show a badge, that's a HUGE problem as there is then ZERO accountability. Doesn't even have to have their name as long as there is a badge number at the very least. And they don't carry badges, do they?
