I may be old-fashioned, because I certainly am old, but aren’t writers festivals places to go to be challenged in your thinking? Just like universities? I thought that’s what learning was about.

We are now now just some other place they can take over whenever they want. The only thing that might save us is our size, but it won’t save all the places they have bases.

I thought the whole point of getting different people was to get different opinions. I don’t know why people are so fearful of hearing something they might disagree with. Just disagree.

Different texture with crunchy katafia (sp?) pastry, pistachio cream, crushed pistachios and I think a touch of salt, good quality chocolate. I like it, but it’s expensive so not often eaten in my house.

It’s the opposition and the other nut cases in parliament that should be extending the hand of bipartisanship. It doesn’t go the other way. They are being just as divisive as they have been for decades.
