I'm not a lawyer. Is "criminal" an actual legal term? If so, what defines it? I'm reading the updated text to say "Alien" (vs undocumented) and "charged" (vs convicted). So, could a RESIDENT ALIEN, who is ACCUSED be deported now? Like a nurse accused by racist patient of taking their peppermints?

Will the commoditization of processing and storage (read: "cloud" computing) where we pay by the cycle/byte, force this naturally? The short cuts (bad programming) we can take when the memory/storage/cycles are effectively "infinite" cost real money once paying by the millisecond.

Not arguing and NAL: Law says "charged". Charges are within 72 hours of arrest? Does that "speedy-trial" not apply for non-citizens? Arrest and deportation without conviction is scary, but is that really what could happen here and is it different than existing law? Is this just not constitutional?

I think the premise is, as you said, the "rules are made by us for better or for worse", and these rules haven't been made, addressed, or updated in 30+ years, so there is more "for worse" than their should be.

Very educational! Country Caps seem like a logical idea though. Are they not, or is 7% the issue, or should there be exceptions? A pure FIFO system would make it so that smaller countries or poorer people had no chance of ever getting in. I'd think caps promote diversity of nationalities approved?

I have been feeling that we keep beating good teams by catching them in a slump. I haven't done the math on that to see if it makes sense. Would looking at the opponents last-10 games prior to ours have any value?

Where do we get our news? I felt the attacks on the 'main stream media' were unfounded anti-fact garbage. Now we don't like them either? Do we just ignore Editorial pages? Real journalists are still out there. Getting news from unvetted-experts blogs or "social" media isn't the answer. What is?
