If you're an #ICUSurvivor, would it have helped you to talk to another #ICUSurvivor prior to hospital discharge? This is something I think would be helpful. I know it would have helped me & my family to know what to expect once I got home.

When you receive your #Ostomy supplies from your distributor or pharmacy, make sure you note the expiration dates. All products have these dates on the packaging. Keep them in a space which is neither too cold nor too warm, because the adhesive quality can be compromised.

when you have an #Ostomy, there are red light foods (popcorn, corn, fresh fruits & veggies, to name a few), & green light foods (pasta, white rice, breads, crackers, tuna, cheese, to name a few). What goes in must come out. So make like a train & chew chew chew! ❤️

2/2 When my #Peristomal skin is a little irritated, I wash the skin with a little Head & Shoulders in the shower & dry my skin thoroughly before putting on a new appliance. I even use my hair dryer on a low setting to dry my skin.

I will soon be approaching the anniversary of the day I became critically ill (April 22). My life was forever changed. I am beyond grateful to be alive, and I have gone on to help countless patients thru my advocacy. I owe my life to my Mom and brother, Alan. Without them, I would not have survived.

Just something to be aware of in your friendships.
Always remember it's easy for folks to surround you on sunny days. But what's really important is who sticks by you during life's storms!

My Dr wrote me a prescription for #Paxlovid. I called the pharmacy to see if the prescription was ready and the cost. With my prescription plan, it was a little over $600. SERIOUSLY? Needless to say, I canceled the prescription. Thanks #BigPharma.
I have never stopped #Masking since the #CovidPandemic. I have gotten all my #Vaccinations AND #Booster shots. I went to my #PCP yesterday because I was feeling sick. I tested + for #Covid. I was shocked! So I am very thankful I did all those things because my body is immunocompromised.
