Bless the seniors for recognizing what those in power won’t. Immigrants perform necessary functions in health care & elder care. They should receive special consideration for the good work that they do. They do not deserve ever changing “rules,” profiling, and abuse.

Shame that some of this money doesn’t go to true immigration reform - failure of both parties. This influx of money is a huge waste, especially considering the poor quality of ICE personnel, training, and detention facilities. ICE should not be confused with law enforcement.

Can’t blame Collins for being concerned about her own state. But her talking with Noem is not the same as making Noem, DHS, ICE, Border Patrol accountable. Need to stop abuses and need independent investigations of recent killings in Minnesota.

Just good would great. But both political parties have failed to reform immigration policies. Given the composition of the current Congress, any significant changes would need votes from both parties.
