This little boy and his family are here legally as asylum seekers and have no deportation orders. They took him and his father and then used him as bait to try to draw out other family members. He's five.

I miss my writing group, because while I believe all novelists engage in world building, going from an alternate present to a fantasy world is kind of breaking my brain. I understand all of the maps and glossaries and wikis now and would like to discuss with my friends. 😫

I had an issue recently with someone on here, and I've been reflecting on whether or not I did the right thing.
If you're pretending to have a genuine conversation with someone, but really you're just waiting for a sales opportunity, people can tell. Even this autistic person can tell.

The third draft of It's the End, Pennie Wilson has been sent to a few beta readers. I won't write another unless it's directed by a professional. The biggest change is a new flashback chapter where Pennie struggles to socialize appropriately with people who do not have her best interests at heart.

Recently spent a little time away. Rode a coaster bike to coffee shops to write. Read on the beach and listened to the surf. Explored an abandoned village. Watched my dad fish.

I was writing a letter to the editor of my local paper regarding homelessness, and was debating if a .gov site would still be a reliable source for my research, but... No, it's a council that doesn't exist anymore and the website, while still indexed, is down. I used the Way Back Machine. RIP USICH.
