I only recently found out Barry Scott is a character and not his real name. The actor who played him was in an ad for Surreal cereal where they spoofed the old Cilit Bang ads. He introduced himself as ‘Gary Scott’ as the name ‘Barry Scott’ is trademarked.

I was living in Korea when smoking bans were introduced in the UK and a few other countries. Despite the hate it gets, Comic Sans is one of the most accessible fonts (in my experience at least). When I taught EAL/ESL, I started using Comic Sans for my PPTs and worksheets after my students kept using ‘typewriter A‘s’ in their handwriting. My dyslexic students also found it easier to read.
