The community exists for both, but the carrier networks don't. I would be basically restricted to Wi-Fi.

I'm currently writing an article for next Monday on which phones I would have bought instead of the ones I did (because I just went with the free carrier option until '06), but then it turns into a love fest for:
Nokia N95
Nokia N86
HTC Touch Pro 2
Motorola Droid
LG Quantum (actually had this)

Yeah. So the first Blackberry that was an actual phone and not just an internet pager came out in 2002.

I was researching based on when my upgrades happened, because I got on Verizon in 2002 because that was the only network that worked at Colgate then, then upgraded in '04.

Like, look at that beautiful keyboard! And it was a vertical slider!

I mean, look, Windows Mobile might have ultimately failed, but it's still exactly what I would have wanted in a phone if I had time traveled to 2004.
