Oh no. The shooting of Minnesota legislators is unthinkable and reprehensible. I feel for their families and for the whole country. May this pull us back to some level of boundaries and away from polarization. Tribalism will tear us apart and lead to more loss of life. 🙏🇺🇸

Let’s say I wanted to use tariffs to influence industrial policy and create jobs. I would communicate them well in advance. I would target specific industries. I would give companies confidence they could make long-term decisions. I wouldn’t spring them. This is a dumb approach.
