Eccentric, eclectic, autodidactic, opinionated, misanthropic jack-of-all-trades IT geek. I read, write, learn, cook, build, BBQ, code, tweak, work out, philosophize (Stoicism), and try cromulent new hobbies as they catch my interest, all mostly barefoot.

There are a lot of different variations and uses of social media. There are whole communities and organizations that exist thanks to social media. You should look outside your narrow views and limited perspective before advocating for things that will destroy them and negatively impact many people.

"our"? 🤨

Why do you feel entitled to speak on behalf of the hundreds of millions of people on the internet? You do realize that you are just one person, with one opinion, and that you don't represent everybody?

Many people have found significant benefits from various forms of social media.

@npr.org, stop sane-washing the actions of Hegseth and the Trump administration. He ranted like an incompetent teenage boy fresh off a marathon video game session playing "Call of Duty: Drunk and Dumb".

It was an insult to our military leadership and deserves to be called out for what it was.

@sciam.bsky.social, you're better than this. The accurate headline for this topic is:

"Along with increasing copyright complexity, Sora may be the prelude to more AI slop shoveled at us from the manure pile to make a quick buck"

Don't feed us garbage puff-pieces that are more ad than analysis.
