I think it’s more new/grift-tech “cyber”that went hard right more than anything. The telcos and other 800lb gorillas are mostly a mix of former military/agency and the dot-com era firms they acquired along the way. The guys looking for VC funding are big into seasteading though.

When the metrics leadership cared about changed from “how many features did the team deliver” to “how many people are using copilot (we _have_ to pay for it, so you _have_ to use it)” — it kind of has a chilling effect on discourse.
