Reduce overall plastic waste by buying fewer plastic products. Opt for a refillable water bottle, take your thermos or cup to fill up to your local coffee shop, shop locally when you can, recycle what you use according to your city’s recycling center capabilities.

Yeah, it’s very difficult. Corporations have billions of dollars put into propaganda but they’ve never been solutions, they’ve always been distractions and balms to ease the collective guilty conscience. But actual rhetoric of how to help as an individual hasn’t changed in decades.

Unfortunately no because our effect as a species is largely dictated by a cabal of about 2K people on the planet putting profit above everything. The rest of us are only collectively responsible for about 30% but it doesn’t absolve us from trying.
