3) Key highlights:
👉 First study to test Nudge + intervention in the e-commerce sector
👉 Default offset was highly effective at increasing offsetting donations
👉 Nudge+ was no more effective than default alone
👉 Intervention effects were not moderated by prior climate or offsetting attitudes
cast-centre.bsky.social
2) This study conducted an exploratory online experiment with four e-commerce checkout prototypes to determine whether ‘Nudge+’ approaches (which combine reflection and automatic processing) are more effective than default nudge or information provision to promote offset donations.

1) Human-generated carbon emissions have become a major driver of climate change, with increasing e-commerce activities contributing significantly to this issue. One possible way to address this issue is through carbon offset donations.

Key message from our new report: cutting methane is "the *fastest & most cost-effective lever* to slow warming within our lifetimes".
And behavioural change is central to this - making plant-based food more accessible and cheaper; and changing choice environments to cut food waste.
climatecrisisag.bsky.social
NEW: Methane emissions could lock in 0.3°C of extra warming – pushing societies towards collapse.

Our new report outlines proven, low-cost solutions across energy, agriculture, and waste that could cut emissions by 45% – protecting health, food and livelihoods.

Excellent article by @wouterpoortinga.bsky.social on drivers of climate policy support.

Perception matters. Policies must be seen to be fair & effective. Ppl need to know they’re not alone in supporting climate action.
