Honestly this is probably the better route. Everyone needs a worn out auntie (laudatory) who won’t tolerate your BS because she’s seen and heard it all.

Yeah exactly, we should keep quiet about pointing out very obvious weakness and not force them to spend energy defending “safe” territory AND also not giving them an image of weakness

Yes, totally understand how people are attracted to the *idea* of him. I am flabbergasted that some people are able to hold onto to that abstraction when confronted by the actual existing person.

I kind of assumed a big part of it was keeping a lid LHO’s Soviet ties (and thereby not having to deal with *that* sort of conspiracy/ implications)

There are just so many ways for things to get worse and *very few* ways that conditions will improve.
Just so many lit fuses right now and no plan or intent or capability to do anything about the accelerating/ escalating series of problems they’ve caused
