In a time of genuine scientific crisis, academic publishers - who made a fortune off of taxpayer funded research - should be making ALL SCIENTIFIC ARTICLES FREE. In the absence of their morals or guts in the face of crippling government actions, when you need an article: steal steal steal. libgen.li

libgen.li can access almost any article for free. In times like these, publishers that have made a fortune off us should be making all articles free, but given the absence of their morals, steal, steal, steal

I will share my letter in this thread, and share my approach to lower the activation energy for y'all to join me.

I like the idea of this being “NIH Week” for Congress - contacted my rep - time to let the rest hear about it
My #Yale colleague Harlan Krumholz explains why the cuts to indirect costs are a disaster for biomedical research in the United States. Want to do something about it? I'll list those who have to hear from us below. Share, recruit friends and family to help. 1/ www.statnews.com/2025/02/08/n....
The NIH’s drastic cut to indirect cost rates is a critical threat to U.S. research infrastructure
The drastic reduction in indirect costs is not a path to innovation or cost savings — it’s a threat to U.S.’s position as global leader in medical research.
