My children, Millennial and Gen Z,are disgusted with Boomers, Gen X and older Millennials. In their minds all people deserve dignity and respect. They want people to live life. Culture wars are ignorant. What a beautiful world it would be if everyone thought this way.

They are stuck in a vicious cycle of confirmation bias and social proof while the ego and cognitive dissonance make it impossible to admit they were conned.

When younger, Donald dreamed of being a famous movie star. When asked off record by a journalist friend why he wanted to be POTUS he replied that he wanted to be world famous. It eats at his fragile ego that Rob Reiner was beloved for decades while Trump will be historically famous for being awful!
