def listen to your gut and move onto something else if you don’t feel like it’s for you! i forced myself to finish it and it just made the book feel like a chore 😭

Everyone I’ve talked to that like SJM’s work have agreed that acotar isn’t really good and said book 2 is where things really take off. But I don’t have it in me to continue a series that takes well over 400 pages to get interesting 😬

i personally didn't enjoy acotar but i hope you do!! some of my favorite reads from this year have been Shield of Sparrows by Devney Perry, The Empyrean series by Rebecca Yarros (3 books so far), and the Kindred's Curse saga by Penn Cole (also 3 books so far)!

if i wasn't so desperate for caffeine i would have just made peppermint tea but it's a both jobs day so the bean juice is needed for sure
