Professor Tony Curtis read a Bear Poem and brought along a painting gifted to him by William McClure Brown. Great conversation, a lovely buffet, mince pies – and even a barked applause from Rudy the dog

CASW members, Philippa Robbins and Alan Salisbury, are holding a joint exhibition, Recent Work, at West Wharf Gallery, top floor Jacob’s Market, Cardiff. The exhibition opens on Saturday 4 October with a private view from 2pm and continues on Thursdays, Fridays and Saturdays until 1 November.
