Specifically on the dressing up point. She was a flight attendant for a major airline back when you had to be a pretty, unmarried, registered nurse to qualify. (Had to quit when she married a pilot!) And I spent my childhood in 'airplane clothes' - little suits or dresses, tights, and dress shoes.

One of the teachers who subs in the computer lab next door to me will put these on the smartboard when the students work independently. I get so zoned out watching them 😻

Hahaha I keep stick-your-head-in size zip ziplocs in every seat back pocket, between that and the sport first aid kit, I can handle vom, wet uniforms, muddy cleats...and a variety of other unexpected emergencies. And they haven't played soccer in a few years now 😹

My local bookshop will order basically anything for me (including your books!) I've found that increasingly, this has been the case for lots of local bookshops as they work to compete with Amazon. Sure, they may not have non-local indies on shelf, but if you're ordering anyway...they can handle it!

Then honestly, that is the way everyone will want to remember her. This idea memorials have to be 'appropriately sad' is so weird. We are already sad, we lost someone we loved dearly. And we should get together and remember them fondly and with laughter as well as the inevitable tears!
