An odd pull-out from an incredible 18-p. feature. How about:
In Aug 2008, Foster's London office received a call from Steve Jobs [seeking out the architect for Apple's new HQ....].
"'I need your help in Cupertino. How quickly can you get here?' [...] 'I am not talking to anyone else!' Jobs said."

2/2 Hard to choose one from this year. Peter Dinklage reading Spalding Gray, Christian Slater reading Elvis, Patti Smith reading her letter to Mapplethorpe. Seeing @mariapopova.bsky.social and Common in the flesh. Dagmara Dominczyk and the recorder letter had us in stitches. Can't wait for spring!

Hard to answer this question! There are so many highlights from each show. 2018: Rose McGowan's letter; Tom Hollander running over after his "Travesties" curtain call on Broadway to read for us; Benedict Cumberbatch with a Yankee accent reading a letter seeking pardon over seagulls... 1/2

I discovered cheese shortbreads from Michel et Augustin who make them with a variety of cheeses -- parmesan, Beaufort, Comté. Great to be able to make this from scratch; will also try it with other cheeses. Thank you.
