When Top Gun came to VHS, IIRC it was the first release to include a commercial before the movie (a soda ad set in fighter jets). Folks were upset about that but not enough.

I did a rewatch a couple of years ago and 2 things struck me about GFA: 1) we saw "Hawkeye cracks up" a few times already and 2) it seemed cruel to Winchester. Aside from that, it was ok.
