December is the least fun time in publishing. Why? 1. Influx of manuscripts from clients, which begins in November. 2. Query box overwhelm. 3. Chasing publishers to get payments in & contracts closed. 4. Burn out. Happy December in Publishing, All! Be gentle with your agents & editors at this time.

Thank God I ordered a Dude Robe for my kid, made a plane reservation, edited my website, deleted old emails, paid invoices, created new passwords, made new folders for sorting mail, took my dog out, texted my husband, called an old friend and ate a croissant. Now I can write.
