Fixed your statement: "The head of the Russian Direct Investment Fund is reportedly set to meet U.S. envoys Steve Witkoff and Jared Kushner to discuss what bribes are needed to maintain Trump's tacit support of Russia."

1) the Traitor 8 should be stripped of all posts and committees, and frozen out. This is the only thing that will affect their cushy lobbying money, and would send a loud message. 2) It's long overdue for Schumer to resign. He's too weak to hold the Senate together, too weak to fight back.

You're right about the media reaction. My feed is full of usually critical people reacting as if this was a major development that would pressure India and China into giving up their support of Russia, and crediting Trump for "better late than never".

This is the great mistake of establishment Democrats, thinking that things can just go back to "the way they were". There has to be an uprooting, root and branch, of the corrupt system that the far right has insinuated into our democracy over 40 years. Complete, comprehensive, revolutionary reform.

As a Michigander ex-pat living in Helsinki, Chicago is probably the one place I would move back for. And a big part of that is the fighting spirit of the governor and the city.

This is a long-standing weakness in reporting on European multi-party elections. "Wins" (which are often in the 25-35% range) by a single party are portrayed in the same way as 50+% "victories". Americans in particular simply don't understand the multi-party systems.
