You’re absolutely right, Scott. But I hold, at greater fault, anybody who had the benefit of sufficient education to know better— and that’s EVERYBODY at every single level in the chain of command except the “20-something child who pushed the button.”
… and maybe that child did, too.

Just dropped in to say the same thing. Up and down the chain of command, from the admiral at the top to the 20-something child who pushed the button -- any single one of them could have said "no," but they shrugged and did what they were told. All of them are as guilty as Hegseth is.

I'm thinking Hegseth was watching the boat strike from the Pentagon. He saw the survivors at the same time the mission leader reported them. Without being asked, he said "kill them all". The mission leader should have refused but didn't and ordered a 2nd strike.

Exactly, Les. Exactly.

“Just following orders” got the world what Eisenhower filmed at Ohrdruf at Buchenwald. He called members of Congress there to see it first hand.

Pro tip: The “I was just following orders” defense didn’t work out so well at Nuremberg either.

Has she lost whatever it is she’s pleased to call her damn mind?!?! She’s a conspiracy theorist whack-a-doodle who — unless she actually takes her listeners hostage physically as well as intellectually—will never be important enough for GIGN to know she exists.

How would you suggest I do that?

Really? I didn’t know that. Thank you for telling me— I’m going to look into that a little.

I saw that on the news just the other day. A tragedy.
People think working high iron is dangerous— and it is, of course— but trench work is even more so.

I wish!
I can take medication for it — and I do— but because the medication for it also lowers blood pressure, I can only take a small dose because my blood pressure is naturally low.
