Today, I was proud to vote for a responsible and forward-looking state budget that protects critical services, invests in housing, health care, and education, and upholds our values in the face of economic uncertainty.

Political violence has no place in a free society. We cannot accept a future where public servants are hunted for doing their jobs.

Earlier this week, I was honored to welcome members of the Chinese Consolidated Benevolent Association to the State Capitol.

It was a pleasure to meet with them, hear their concerns, and discuss how I can continue to be a voice for our diverse communities in the Assembly.

On this #NationalGunViolenceAwarenessDay, we honor the countless lives lost to gun violence—and stand with survivors and their loved ones who have endured unimaginable pain.

This weekend, I’m asking you to join me as we #WearOrange and raise our voices to say: ENOUGH IS ENOUGH.
June 6, 2025 at 3:37 PM
Today, I was joined by gun violence survivors, advocates, students, and my colleagues in front of the State Capitol to send a clear message—enough is enough. We must do whatever it takes to end gun violence, especially in the face of reckless federal inaction.

Yesterday, I was honored to join Rally Family Visitation Services at their fundraiser to recognize the incredible work they do. Since 1991, Rally has been helping children and parents stay safe during high-conflict separations. I’m deeply grateful for all they do to support survivors every day.

This Earth Day, I’m excited to share that my bill, AB 1417—a critical investment in California’s offshore wind future—has passed out of committee!

Offshore wind plays a vital role in our state. No matter what attacks we witness from the federal administration, we know this industry is here to stay.

Today in committee, an opponent of AB 1127, a bill that will ban DIY machine guns, stated that they would challenge this legislation in court—and win.

So let me be clear: We love our children more than you love your guns. Mark my words, we will win—we have no other option.

Today, I anounced Wyland’s Law (AB 1363)—a bill that aims to prevent the kind of heartbreaking failure that cost 10-year-old Wyland Gomes his life.
