Enjoying living in Headington, Oxford
Good news, they were on London Road yesterday finally making use of the coil of wires that has been hanging there for the last year

I won't 'like' this - as I'm sad to be losing the co-op - but thanks for keeping us up to date

It is a sad loss - although the coop supermarket is now just a shadow of what it used to be. More people will be more likely to drive off to the bigger supermarkets, especially parents of children at the adjacent St Andrew's school

It is interesting that they say they are looking for a space for each business. It would be good if they kept a grocery shop in the area. They've been running the Headington store down for years; it is now difficult to buy anything there - tills are empty and the self service uscans were removed.

So all of the traffic going to the Headington Hospitals will now go out to the ring road and come in together via the Green Road Roundabout and clog up London Road! It is pretty bad news for congestion and buses :(

Michel's was one of the things that enticed me to move to Headington. There was another branch in Little Clarendon St

I wonder if this means Headington has reached cafe saturation point

The building looks better than the hotel proposed previously but it is a shame to lose the co-op completely

There were 3 ambulances and 5 police cars when I went past shortly after 9am. I didn't take a photo.

Interesting to see the Music House heritagesearch.oxfordshire.gov.uk/images/POX06... but not sure that this is Posh Fish building at current 150 London Road

If they will be in the same place as the existing ad panels then the back will be partly blocked by the small wall. If they'll be perpendicular at either end of the bus stop it will be a real impediment to pedestrians. It is hard at the moment to walk past when people are getting on the bus.

That is a great shame. We had a great meal there and were hoping to go back soon

Their vicar left at the end of November (around 4 months after St Andrew's vicar) so they will still be drawing up the parish profile.

Headington Quarry also has a vacancy, which should be advertised later this year

If you think you're too old for and Advent Calendar then it could be time for the reverse advent calendar - where you add an item of food each day and donate to the CEF foodbank at (after) Christmas
