Pixel woke me up at 05:30 by licking inside my ear, and when I turned around to face her, she burped in my face. Now that cuddle time is over and I have to get ready for work, she's happily back to snoozing. I love this spoiled furball so much 🥰 #PixelThePoochon

Every day I work in Fabric is a day I get closer to giving up on Fabric for good. After nearly three years of hearing "it's on the roadmap" when asking about basic, critical enterprise features, I'm getting more and more ready to leave my MVP title behind and start as a junior on something that actually works as promised.

2025 was a good year to not travel to the US. Looks like 2026 is an even better year to not travel to the US.
3. Mandatory Social Media: In order to comply with the January 2025 Executive Order 14161 (Protecting the United States From Foreign Terrorists and Other National Security and Public Safety Threats), CBP is adding social media as a mandatory data element for an ESTA application. The data element will require ESTA applicants to provide their social media from the last 5 years. 4. High Value Data Elements To comply with the January 2025 E.O. (14161), and the April 4, 2025, Memorandum Updating All Forms to Collect Baseline Biographic Data, CBP will add several “high value data fields” to the ESTA application, when feasible. This is in addition to the information already collected in the ESTA application. The high value data fields include: a. Telephone numbers used in the last five years; b. Email addresses used in the last ten years; c. IP addresses and metadata from electronically submitted photos; d. Family member names (parents, spouse, siblings, children); e. Family number telephone numbers used in the last five years; j. Business telephone numbers used in the last five years; k. Business email addresses used in the last ten years.

Det er i tillegg provoserende at vinklingen her er at "unge kvinner med mastergrad er sykmeldt langt mer enn menn", med oppblåste grafer som viser relativ forskjell mellom kjønn, uten at det nevnes at de samme unge kvinnene med mastergrad+ har lavere sykefravær enn menn med kun grunnskoleutdanning.
De faktiske sykefraværstallene for kvinner og menn etter utdanningsnivå. Viser blant annet at menn med grunnskoleutdanning har høyere sykefravær (6.4%) enn kvinner med over 4 års høyere utdannelse (5.9%).

The evolution of my basement so far:
2020: Original basement
2020: Removed fireplace, wallpaper and wood panels
2021: Knocked down a wall and new stairs
2025: Completely stripped to its bones

Next up: floor heating and floors! 🤩 #CathrineWithTools
Original basement had a massive, open brick fireplace, a gray carpet, structured wallpaper and brown wood panels on the walls. After the first demolition weekend in 2020, all wallpaper and wood panels were gone. After replacing the stairs, a wall was knocked down to open up between the living room and hallway/staircase. After the demolition weekend in 2025, the room is completely stripped to its bones: concrete floor, open walls showing the insulation, open ceiling exposing the beams, and no more walls at all between the living room and hallway/staircase!
