It was difficult getting into this book as my brain is more familiar with arts than sciences. However it was worth it. Our forests have been mismanaged for years&vital networks among plants/trees have been disrupted. It’s a story as old as time. Can an industry be created by manipulating nature? 🇨🇦

Morning Susan! I live a 45 minute flight, or a 7 hour drive to the Rocky Mountains…and I lived in the foothills as a child, and miss them daily! (This pic is 50 yrs old! Taken in Banff National park🇨🇦) #MountainMonday #BlueSkyMonday

I really enjoyed this book! Great story-Indigenous perspective-Bit of History. I’ve been #ReadingCanadian Started off with ‘The World According to Garp’ J. Irving. ‘the Diviners’ M. Laurence. Last but not least ‘Prairie Edge’ C. Kerr.

It rained last night in Kelowna! We are in a level3 drought, so thank you to each drop that fell! Unfortunately the ground is easily saturated&I parked on a patch of grass next to a muddy field, and in the dark, did a little slippity side&my jeans, coat, and poor suede shoes got the worst of it!

Arts contrast 2. I volunteered with my group at a craft fair in a smallish community centre. The place was absolutely ALIVE with people of all ages, conversation about art and craft and beauty…and I’m still thinking what has gone wrong in the other space.

2 day arts contrast. I presented to one person in a gigantic room at our downtown library(we just talked) She shook my hand and told me her name and all about her writing and family, at times, becoming breathless with the effort. (Do you think the screen was big enough?

Throwback Saturday for me.i’ll b sitting in a craft-fair booth supporting the University Women’s Club of Kelowna(I joined a few months ago)2 raise money4scholarships! Before I had a store, way back in the day, I did craft fairs2sell tye-dyed socks, sweatshirts and wait for it-SCRUNCHIES!!!

Nelson was beautiful and I had a very successful day signing books at Nelson Coles! Amazingly I sold the most books EVER at a signing in a town of 12 thousand people! Thank You Nelson! I’ll b back!
