"her memory is a cloud she can't hold..."

Lots of feels with this poem for my mum. Sent with love for anyone with a parent or loved one with Alzheimer's/dementia. It's a journey.

(And thank you @poetsorg.bsky.social and Rick Barot for sharing this one. It means a lot.)

Gabriel Byrne reads "Late Fragment" by Raymond Carver

And did you get what
you wanted from this life, even so?
I did.
And what did you want?
To call myself beloved, to feel myself
beloved on the earth.

Oh, my first post! After a fall on a footpath in Athens, a broken shoulder, a broken arm,an operation, and a long, slow recovery, I feared I had lost poetry. No focus, the music was gone. The magic is coming back in reading, though. And reeducation through crochet and embroidery.

Can we use this Claudine Toutoungi poem from 'Emotional Support Horse' to encourage people over from Twitter to join #PoetsonBluesky? Doesn't everyone want to discuss the rhyme schemes of starlings and the ramifications of squirrels?!
